Tissue Trim
Home Care After Tissue Trim
A tissue trim is an extensive procedure that entails exposing the length of your teeth. After the surgery there will be a “band-aid” positioned across the surgical healing site. This will be placed there for 2 to 3 days for the gums to properly heal without being in contact with air, liquids and food. After the designated time has passed, you bay pull it loose yourself. You’re still free to gently brush your teeth as you do routinely. The surgical site will look tender and raw, that is normal so please do not agitate it. We recommend rinsing your mouth with warm water and salt, three times a day. Please avoid spicy foods, vinegar, acidic foods and fruits and crunchy and hard foods. If you have any problems before you next scheduled appointment in two weeks please Today’s Family Dental, your Dentist in Lutz.
